Natural Dyed Easter Eggs 天然色素的復活節彩蛋

I love Easter eggs so much! I could not help myself from dying more Easter eggs. So I gave my kids a few different ways to dye their Easter eggs this week.

This time we naturally dyed our Easter eggs.

We went to the park to get some leaves for impressions in dying their Easter Eggs

Then we boiled water with purple onion skins, yellow onion skins, purple cabbage and spinach.

I let the kids watch how these vegetables became a dye to colour their eggs. 

When they saw these beautiful designs come out, they all felt excited.

I've never done it before, so I had a lot to learn, and I felt like it was a lot of work. It took two days to make these Easter eggs.

It was worth it though!

帶小孩到公園去，拔地上的野草來當作製作復活節彩蛋的素材，回家後利用天然染料如黃洋蔥皮、紫洋蔥皮、紫高麗菜跟菠菜來當色素，水煮後萃取顏色來染雞蛋。製作過程中，我讓小孩看到植物過燒煮後，所產生的顏色，以及利用所摘回來的樹葉當作雞蛋上的團案，讓他們親自體驗一下天然的染色，所產生的效果。

每週有數次去公園跑步，今天多了一個任務，要摘地上

的野草回家。

天氣好熱，但是

Darius堅持要帶安全帽出門。

It was hot that day. 

But Darius insisted on wearing his helmet.

春天裡的紫色花朵，給來一種愉悅的感覺。

Lovely purple flowers!

居然拿起爸爸的滑板，在小坡地上往滑，挺好玩的勒。

The kids played on Daddy's skateboard.

這鍋是紫洋蔥皮，一杯水配一杯紫洋蔥皮，顏色會比較濃一點。

煮好後，放置冷卻，可以滴上醋，一大匙配上一杯染料水。

摘回來的野草

也可摘花朵來製作，圖案會更好看。

This is was what we picked up from the park.

利用茶葉袋來包蛋，一定要綁很緊，這樣圖案才能顯著。

紫洋蔥皮

紫高麗菜

菠菜＋鬱金香粉

黃洋蔥皮＋博士茶

加入白醋，放入雞蛋，放置冰箱裡浸泡一天。

Ｗe put these eggs in the refrigerator for one day.

來揭開神秘的雞蛋色彩吧

Let's  open the tea bags.

小孩們很迫不及待，我也好想看到成品。

We could not wait to see what they looked like.

哇！成品出現了，滿興奮的，第一次天然色素染蛋，效果不差。

下次一定會弄幾朵花來試試看，

而且會綁緊一點袋子，讓圖案可以染得更清楚。

For our first time, I think we did well.

Next time we will use more flowers and tie the bags tighter to make

sure the prints come out.
