Usually family home evening is held on monday nights. But we have family home evening on Thursday afternoons, because Pieter has to work every other night.
Family home evening contains an opening prayer, sing hymns, have a gospel lesson, a family activity, and discuss about the weeks family plans... and so on.
Usually Amira plays the music and Pieter and I give the lesson. This year we use the same primary lessons they'll hear in church the next Sunday.
We want to the kids to get to know the lesson before their class on Sunday.
This time Corban was in charge of the activity. He chose to give us a drawing dinosaur lesson. We had to all draw a dinosaur.
Well family home evening for us is not easy, because the kids are still young. It is difficult to make them all calm down. It is very fun to have an activity with the kids. They are cute but noisy at the same time.
We all know one day they will grow up and they be able to participate a lot better.
Family home evening suits every family, families can have more time to get closer and to know each other more personably.
一般來說教會成員都會在星期一晚上開家人家庭晚會，內容先有開會祈禱、唱詩歌、福音課程、家庭活動和討論家庭一周事項。
但是我們因為爸爸工作的關係，我們通常在週四的下午開家人家庭晚會，司琴由Amira來負責，課程會有我跟我先生來負責，福音課程這年採取是每週日初級會上課的進度，因為小孩去英文支會，希望藉由提前預習課程的方式，幫助他們可以比較進入狀況。課程結束後，會有家庭遊戲。這次我則邀請Corban幫我們帶一個活動，他說要教每個人畫恐龍，所以每個人他都發一張紙，然後很混亂的情況下，都有畫出自己心目中的恐龍。
因為我們小孩年紀很小，通常家人家庭晚會會很亂七八糟的，小孩不會很安分聽你上課，一般來說也不會，所以我們一直都很習慣這樣方式，反正小孩會長大，家人家庭晚會會越來越好玩，小孩可以參與內容跟活動也會逐日增多，這樣的活動很適合給所以有家庭來使用，可以讓家關係跟協調跟緊密。
