Fragrant Sachets 五日節～一起來做香包

I rarely have the opportunity to let the kids do some needlework. This time, I took the advantage of making something for Dragon Boat Festival, helping the kids hand sew sachets. Of course, you can still buy sachets, but we, but I thought a little home sewing might be a bit fun and a good experience for them. 

This time, Amira did the whole project almost by her self. Compared from last year, her hand sewing has become so much better. Even Corban could sew a half by himself. I was surprised by their change. 

About 端午節 Dragon Boat Festival

很少有機會可以讓小孩做點針線活，趁著端午節的時節，讓小孩親手縫縫香包。當然，香包製作已經是現代版本，沒有古早時期的味了，但是讓小孩體驗一下縫紉的感覺，相當不錯，也許有一天，他們會了解“慈母手中線”，這份我對孩子深切的愛。

這次，Amira全程幾乎自己來，從打樣，穿針鋒線，比起去年來說，手順多了。Corban可以慢慢一針一針縫，雖然不是很美，但進步相當大，令我感到驚訝！小孩進步，十分迅速．成長過程，真是一眨眼的光陰呀！

準備材料：布織布、針線、鉛筆、紙、尺、剪刀。

歩驟：

1.畫出三邊等長的三角形，當成樣板

2.把三角形紙版，放在布織布上，用筆畫描畫出圖案，然後剪下四片三角形。

3.將四個三角形縫起來，留下最後一邊，塞入棉花，再縫起來。

如果，想滴入精油在棉花裡，也可讓香包有香味。

以上就是簡單粽子香包製作

接下來我添加一些花樣，剛好手上有現成的布織布花朵小包，隨手縫一縫，然後在香包上，綁上線，縫上花片，就可以成了可吊掛的花朵粽子香包！

爸爸上自然課

我先生很忙，再忙也要抽出一小段時間跟小孩一起學習。這是他每週固定一次的自然課程，剛好要介紹覆蓋在動物身上的鱗片、毛髮、羽毛與皮膚。小孩們要各別畫出四種不同動物來，區別這四種保護身體的鱗片、毛髮、羽毛與皮膚。之後加以著色、護背。然後串成一串，像門簾一樣，掛起幫助小孩有加深印象，順便美化牆面。

Sketching 素描～療癒心情

Amira is old enough to learning about sketching. Well, tonight was a good time to sketch. Amira and I talked about the shapes and shades of sweet potatoes. We tried to draw as much as we could.

We are not so good, but we had a good time together. And sketching cheered me up a little bit tonight.

今年五月是一個多事且憂愁的月份，許多傷心的事情發生，當然有快樂幸福的事情到來。

前些日子，一直想要讓Amira畫素描，她已經很耐心畫東西，加上前些日子看到朋友分享小朋友素描創作，腦海裡不斷想要畫素描。而今晚上，是個沮喪的夜晚，我很想很想畫畫，所以就叫小孩跟我一起畫，當然奮戰倒底的，一定是我跟Amira。其實，我也不是很會畫，只是想要試試看，跟著女兒討論影子跟形狀，一筆一筆畫出來。

生活中一定是起起伏伏，除了仰賴神之外，找些有興趣的事情做，也能減輕不愉快的心情。

 

Magic Milk 神奇的牛奶

無意發現在網路上發現這科學實驗，結合色彩的變化，很有意思。

材料準備很簡單，牛奶、洗碗精、食用色素、棉花棒跟一個盤子。

步驟：1.首先將盤子上倒進一些牛奶

            2.滴上食用色素

            3.滴上洗碗精

            或者用棉花棒沾黏洗碗精，在牛奶上彩繪

            以上兩種做法都有不一樣的感覺

I  found this science experiment on the internet, this project showed how liquid density can differ between different liquids. 

Material preparation is very simple, milk, dish soap, food coloring, Q-tip and  a plate. 

Step :    1. Pour some milk on the plate 

             2. drop in some food coloring 

             3. drop in some dish soap or

                use a Q-tip dipped in dish soap to stir the milk

             These two approaches show different results

Math about Shape數學課：圖形

這日，上數學課的圖形，用了幾種方法來上圖形課。

第一，印下幾張點點圖，讓小孩學習用點跟點連接,來畫出不同圖形。

第二，請小孩剪下圖形紙板，然後在紙上重複畫出圖案，讓小孩體驗一下，千鳥格圖案的感覺。

第三，玩七巧板跟積木，讓小孩隨意創作，利用不圖形，玩出各種造型。

最後，才會回到課本上，開始上課本內容跟做練習，這樣活動是利用三天時間來完成。

（大小孩都可以參與）

We had math class- making shapes, I used three methods to teach the shapes for math. 

First, I printed some dotted paper out for the kids. This way the children learned to connected points to points.

Second, I asked the kids to cut some shapes out of some cardboard and then use the patterns to draw on paper several times, it was fun to see some of the pictures that came out. 

Third, play with jigsaw puzzles and blocks, I let the children be free with their creations.

Finally,  we went back to the lesson. This project took three days to complete.
