Because my kids are four different ages, I sometimes have to do a little review. I can teach the younger kids and the older kids get to review or make up what they missed the first time round. This kind of lesson is
not easy to teach, because the younger kids are not easy to control but it is okay. They learn by playing.

因為有不同年紀的小孩在一起上課，有時候我會重新把基本的課程拿出來再上一次，幫大一點的小孩複習，同時讓小一點的小孩可以學一點東西。 雖然小小孩有時不是很好控制，我的想法就是有教就會吸收，有一天這些在旁邊搗亂的小小孩，會一鳴驚人，把已經上過或聽過的東西告訴你喔。小孩的學習力跟模仿力是不容忽視的，所以身教比言教更有影響力的道理就在這裡。(參考書籍:玩出數學力)

第一單元：認識數字

列印出0~10的數字

請小孩拿著小汽車，沿著數字滑動，讓小孩認識數字的樣子。
Lesson 1: to understand numbers
I print 0-10 big numbers
Then the kids use cars to trace the numbers.
The kids are really love playing cars.

也罷！跟大家起一玩，比較重要

 很熱鬧的一堂數學

基本上就是“玩”數學

 像Benicia 不是很懂，但沒關係就是

讓這樣年紀的小孩學習把東西放在一個範圍內

只要有興趣玩，那就夠了
For little kids it they don't really know
how  to play the game but it's alright, They still enjoy it.

第三單元

加法

大小孩上的課(4-6歲）

1組紅桃1到10張，另一組黑桃1到10張

每組在加上一張鬼牌，代表０

規則就是每個人輪流抽一張牌

加起來時如果是10的就收起來

不是10就放回去

拿最多牌的人就是贏了
Lesson 3: Addition
the hearts and spades in a poker deck
from numbers 1-10
Each one person draws one at a time
if you have cards that total 10, you with the two cards
if you don't have, you put the card back.
the final is the who gets more, wins.

  

另外一個遊戲更簡單就是數隻

每個人用一隻手，同時伸出想要出的指頭

然後一起加起來

Another game is more easy

it is every uses one hand, and shows the fingers of how many cards you have,

and then add them together

Everyone has a chance to count their fingers.

分分看(4-6歲）

除法

1.12枚硬幣平均分給３個人

2.12枚硬幣２個２個分配，

看看可以分給幾個人？

Lsson 4:division 

there are 12 poker chips

Ask the kids how many poker chips to share equally among 3 people 

Another question is if you can share 2 poker chips among 4 people?

  

Art work with my good friend 美術與老友

I have this old friend, she is a very talented person. Her art work is great! She never really went to any art school. She is just that talented and this is why I think she is awesome.

I invited her to teach my kids every month, she accepted my suggestion right away. She is so nice!

She always gives a lot of art lessons at one time because she lives far from my home, she only gives as much as she can when she is here!

My kids are happy to be with her every time. Because she is fun and nice and interesting.

My kids love her and her class so much!!!

我有一個認識多年的好友，她的美術創作十分獨特、她沒有真正上過藝術學校，天生的藝術家。我請她每個月來拜訪我家，順便來個美術震撼教育，她也欣然接受。感謝她的熱情服務，而我家的小孩看到她，簡直就是high翻天!

因為我這朋友不會常來，所以她來就是滿漢大餐，讓小孩整個沈浸在美術天地裡。

用膠帶畫出點線面

but he just played around

我的好朋友真是大方

小孩把高級膠帶當做玩具

拼命拉，殊不知這膠帶的好處與珍貴

The kids just played with the taped. 

They just pulled the taped as much as they could!

Well their  teacher was generous and not afraid wasted tape 

Benicia 更是亂弄，差點把臉都畫花了

Benicia had so much fun in the art class.

She wanted to draw her face.

先研究這書裡的立體物是怎麼做出來的

她甚至說可以把書拆了好好研究一番

真是阿沙力的人

their teacher wanted them to study this book 

to know how things were made.

She even said you can try to open the book and see 

how it works.

Next time when she came to visit us, we will make the 

pop up book

Going to Daxi 大溪趣

So we had a whole day to go out with the kids on Tuesday, so we took the kites and went to Daxi. Our first stop was at a little place that had a lot of props and sets set up that had to do with "Love" The kids flew their kites around.

第一個景點：愛情故事館

就在慈湖公園旁邊，停車免費，入園免費。

裡面有小教堂、愛之船、月老廟 ....等小場景，

可以拿來當背景拍照。

我們拿了自己的風箏來玩，

天氣很熱，小孩跑得一身汗。

拼命跑，沒有風，不太能飛。

Our second stop was at the Chiang Kai-shek memorial park. It's a park where they put all the old statues of him. There were lots of Chinese people there from the mainland. They all wanted pictures with our kids. It was like a photo shoot.

第二個景點：慈湖公園

到了慈湖公園了

還是要放風箏

今天剛好有好多大陸觀光客

他[們見到我們家這麼多小孩，拼命拿照相機拍我們

光在樹下吃點心時，就有超過10個人來拍我們，感覺超怪的

不走了！趴在地上呢！

The third stop was Ci-hu Lake. What can I say? It was a lake.

第三個景點：

美麗的慈湖

從慈湖公園就可以步行過去

要花大約十多分鐘。

Our  fourth stop was the bat cave. not "The Bat Cave" but a bat cave.
apparently all the bats were eaten by the people, so there are none that live there now.
第四景點：復興鄉 三民村

蝙蝠洞

進來需要走一段山坡，之後要往溪裡去，

需要爬階梯，如果帶還不太會行走的小孩，

就需要背著走。

蝙蝠洞到了

之前有又大量蝙蝠在這裏，後來這裡居民認為

蝙蝠可以當食物吃，因此使蝙蝠絕跡，

穴洞內的紅土，就是蝙蝠的糞便。

此洞穴可以容納千人

小孩都可以爬上去，所以不是很難爬，

不過仍要小心。

洞穴內，有點暗，但是可以看得很清楚

 小孩忍不住，玩起水來了，一直丟石頭

Turtle Steamed Bread 紫烏龜

My dad sent me some pumpkins and I also bought some purple sweet potatoes .

I felt I had to make something, so I made a lot of steamed Chinese bread (about 2 kgs). And the kids made some purple turtles. They loved to eat steamed Chinese bread, even if they feel so full. They still tried to put more into their tiny belles.

手邊剛好有老爸寄來的南瓜加上前幾日買的紫地瓜，剛好可以來做雙色饅頭。

曾看過網路上有些人做烏龜饅頭，一時手癢的我，竟然糅了兩公斤大麵團來做饅頭。

做完的心得是，一次不要揉太多，麵團發酵過久，成了超級大的饅頭。

（手勁也不夠，麵團就糅的不圓滑了）

It rose too much.

黃色南瓜比較柔軟，紫色地瓜比較乾，沒有那麼軟

yellow pumpkins were more soft 

but the purple sweet potatoes were more dry and not soft

 手裡護著饅頭，不想讓弟弟妹妹搶走

she was afraid  Darius would take her food away

開心吃著

They just could not stop eating 

Benicia 其實已經吃了一個半的大大饅頭，

現在是硬撐著，反正就要吃就是了！

she already ate one and half buns, 

but she still wanted to eat even if she was very full.

六龜？這不是我老家！

六龜好山好水有好吃的蓮霧！

Where I was born, it is a nice and beautiful place and always good weather.

好肥大的烏龜，發酵過度了！

這個也是吃第二個了，已經吃不下，

開始把饅頭當玩具再玩

Darius ate two also.

Now he could not eat any more.

He decided to play with it as an air plane.
