Every week, I let the kids practice their pronunciation twice. Today we studied about "K". They had to find the words that sound with "K". Corban picked the word "kite", Amira picked "kitty".
Then they drew the pictures of their words. Then they would write down one or two sentences to describe their drawing. They always have interesting stories about their pictures.
每週我們都會寫一個英文字母,今天我們寫到K。首先小孩要先找出有發K發音的單字,今天Corban寫的是Kite,Amira選的字是Kitty.然後他們就會依照這個單字,畫出一張圖。之後用一到兩句的英文句子,描述他們所畫的內容。一張紙裡有兩大空格,可以分兩次完成,完成後就是一本單字故事書。這樣的課程適合給已經會寫英文字母大小寫跟或說每個字母自然發音的小孩來練習。基本上小孩句子不太會寫,他們會用自己的話說出來,此時可以協助修正英文句子,然後教他們拼寫出來。因為是他們想要表達的故事,通常小孩都很有興趣學,一次大概花半個小時間就可以完成了。
