Chinese New Year ! 農曆年

Chinese new year is coming. It is the biggest holiday in the Asia.

Today we did paper-cut about the Chinese word" chun" (means spring) and some other patterns. Also we did some calligraphy. It calls "chun lian" (In the Chinese new year , we put the "Chinese New Year couplets"chun lian" in front of door for good luck)

Kids did not know how to write the Chinese words with calligraphy.Their words  looked funny. I love to watch them when  they were writing. It was cute.

Then we made some Chinese cakes "fa gao" (means being rich).

We had  good time together.

*Chinese New Year*

中國農曆年，是華人的大節日。家家戶戶要吃年夜飯、包紅包、說吉祥話和吃團圓飯，這些都是少不了的農曆年傳統。門口上要貼上春聯，顯示喜氣。為了讓小孩們感受過年的氛圍。我就讓小孩來學個剪字、寫書法，做發糕。小孩們知道年年有餘，恭喜發財，大吉大利..等吉祥話，來自於發糕的發，橘代表吉利，吃魚就會年年有餘。

希望今年就真的有一個快樂幸福的甲午年。

小孩當作是畫水彩畫勒

剪紙，我小時後最愛剪紙，

剪出的圖案又多又好玩

認真剪"春"字

準備蒸黑糖發糕
