Animal cookies 動物餅乾

今天手作課程是做食物，我們選擇了做動物餅乾。配合下周要上自然課中的動物單元，先來個簡單對動物的認識。小孩們很期待，我們利用動物的模具，壓出可愛的各種動物，小孩的認真努力做出來的餅乾，就成了他們晚餐得點心。

Pieter在晚餐時問了小孩，狐狸怎麼叫?其實我們真的不知道，所以亂說一通，不過Pieter給我看了一個影片，裡面告訴我們狐狸怎麼叫。還滿好笑的，興趣的人可以點一下下面網頁。 (What Does the Fox Say?)

我使用椰子取代奶油，所以沒有將做好的麵團放置冰箱一小時以上，我是直接做餅乾，麵團會在糅時易碎，不過還是可以做出餅乾來。食譜來源:

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Today our handmade lesson was  making cookies. We made animal cookies for next week's Natural Science lesson. The kids have one class about from "Our Father's World" (their science book). Lately we have been learning about day and night, seasons and plants. Soon we will talk about animals. So we just had this lesson, to let the kids know the different animals by eating them.

There was one funny thing that happened during dinner time. We were talking about the sounds of different animals and Pieter asked the kids "What fox says?"  Everyone made different sounds. I thought it was like a wolf and I howled "woo!!" but Pieter said "That is not what a fox says" 

Then he showed me the video, (What Does the Fox Say?) that was funny. I loved it. If you are interested you can check it.

Cookies : 

I used coconut oil to  replace butter. I did not put dough into the refrigerator either. The coconut oil could not put into refieratror, the dough will get harder, it will be too hard to roll.
