Making Christmas tree handprints 來做手印聖誕樹吧

Today we wanted to make some Christmas trees from our hand prints.

I thought it would be easy, but because I did not have enough salt , I used rock salt  to make the dough.The dough  was not  smooth at all. But my kids did not complain. 

We also made some Christmas ornaments, we used animal cookie cutters. They were beautiful. I loved it.

We had so much fun, even if it did take like two days to finish.

 How to make salt dough:

• 1 cup salt (Do not copy me and use rock salt, because when you knead the dough it'll hurt)
• 1 cup plain flour
• Up to 1 cup of water (add gradually)

    Do not forget to use a straw to make a hole for hanging a string through. 

• Combine the salt and flour then pour in the water gradually, stopping when it has become dough-like and not too sticky. 
•  Lay them on  baking paper and on a baking tray. Cook them on a VERY low heat (around 100 degrees C/ 202 F) for up to 3 hours. (In my small oven, I could only bake a few at a time , so I spent two days to finish them!!)
•  As soon as they are out of the oven they can be left to cool while your child chooses which colours and decorations to add! 

今天利用手掌壓在麵團上，把印出的手指麵團拿來彩繪出聖誕樹。

因為太偷懶，剛好沒有鹽巴，又不想出門，只好拿出海鹽來用，因為海鹽顆粒十分大，揉起的麵團，一顆顆的，麵團表面十分不好看。但是我就是裝傻，硬著頭皮把他做完了，雖然糅麵團還滿不舒服的，可是小孩似乎沒有什麼反應。他們總是覺得好玩。

另外我們也利用壓動物餅乾的模具，來製作聖誕掛飾，效果還不錯。只是我家烤箱很小，一次只能烤幾個，但是低溫烘烤需要三個小時，總共花了快兩天時間把他烤完。原本以為簡單的一個活動，弄起來還滿花時間，但是看到成果，還滿開心的，畢竟活動就是要樂在其中。

麵團製作:

1 cup 鹽巴

1 cup麵粉

1 cup 水

鹽巴跟麵粉混合後，慢慢加水，把麵團糅到適合軟度，不黏手就可以了，如果想要在此加上綠色當作背景色，可以用綠色食用色素跟水混合後加入麵團裡，麵團就可以變綠色了。

記得要用吸管打個洞，才能掛喔

烘烤溫度100度 需要烤三小時左右，直到麵團很硬為止。

烤完冷卻後可以用壓克力顏料開始上色。

 so I painted it green after we made our hand print.

Then I baked them.

我忘了加食用色素在麵團裡當底色，

所以我就直接壓好後

上顏色再拿去烤。

烤完後冷卻後，開始上色，先把樹的形狀著色，

接著畫上聖誕掛飾。

We are having fun!

我們很開心的畫著呢。

(應該說是很認真的畫著 )

塗上樹酯然後灑上亮粉，待乾後噴上亮漆。

放置一晚。就可以掛起來。
